Johann Jakob Biedermann - biography

Johann Jacob Biedermann is one of the most important Swiss landscape and veduta painters of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He created a widely disseminated series of prints with 30 views of Swiss towns and villages as early as 1796. Since then, topographically identifiable landscapes remained a constant in his oeuvre.
