Musical automaton "Jean qui pleure"

Wind-up mechanism, plays two melodies, attached original key and locking button. Painted wood and papier mache head, glass eyes, porcelain hands, hair, textile, wood and metal. The left leg, right arm and head move to the music. With a metal plaque reading "Fabrique G. Vichy Modèle déposé" to the back of the bench. Soiled, one of the donkey's ears partially torn off, the clothing damaged. H ca. 50 cm.
