Wind-up mechanism, original key and locking button. Porcelain head, glass eyes, hair, textile, embroidered beaded appliques, painted wood. The belly and tambourine move to the music. Inscribed in ink to the tambourine "M. de C. 30 avril 1883". Labelled to the reverse of the tambourine "Au Passage Delorme Jouets Mson Simonns Remond Suc (?) Rue de Rivoli, 188". Soiled, the tambourine torn, the silk partially worn.
