Two Xingyao vessels. a) A bowl with widely flared sides rising to a lipped rim, covered with a white glaze falling short of the broad, low ring foot of Samarra type. b) Small ovoid vase raised on a solid foot with moulded edge and grooved rim, covered inside and out with a white glaze. Tang dynasty/Five Dynasties period, 9th/10th century. (2)
