An ivory netsuke of a group of seals, by Gyokuhôsai. Mid 19th century

Five seals are placed around a tiered box with engraved flowers and scrolls, the knobs of the seals shaped as a shishi, a group of reishi, a simple handle, a deer and a handle with a movable ring. On the base each seal displays seal characters in relief or engraving, one of them with the signature Gyokuhôsai.
