A very fine Shibayama ivory netsuke of Daikoku’s mallet. Late 19th century

The flat mallet with ornamental handles displaying fundô, chôji, fundô, tama and kakure mino on the other side, inlaid with mother-of-pearl, tortoiseshell, horn, silver and coral. The top part can be pulled out in order to attach the cord. Signed Shibayama on a mother-of-pearl tablet.
Length 4.6 cm
