An amusing Tokyo school inlaid ivory netsuke of Fukurokuju, by Kokoku. Early 20th century

Seated with his legs outstreched, with a scroll held in his lap, and a tabakoire and kiseruzutsu at his belt, his dress and hat inlaid with mother-of-pearl, black horn, silver and green glass. Signed Kokoku on an inlaid red lacquer tablet.
Height 2.7 cm

The signature has erroneously been read "Ryûkoku".
