An Imari plate painted in underglaze blue, two shades of iron-red and gold, with a flower vase with dragon handles to the centre, surrounded by a band of birds and chrysanthemums and four phoenixes in front of Mount Fuji and autumn grasses, all on a blue ground. On the reverse and the base various flower sprays. Johanneum mark: N: 158 +. Early 18th century.
