A walrus tusk manjû of a tanuki. Mid-19th century

Carved in openwork with autumn grasses under a full moon and a soft metal inlay of a tanuki drumming his belly/scrotum, on the reverse autumn grasses, rice sheaves and pine branches. Round seal Mitsu (Kô).
