An ivory and lacquer netsuke of a Daruma roly-poly-doll with a movable red tongue, the thin arms raised in a gesture of surprise, the monk’s robes decorated with flowers and scrolls in makie, the eye pupils of black glass. Signed Kôgyoku (Mitsutama). Second half 19th century.
