Handachi, blade length 75,4 cm, shinogi-zukuri, toran hamon, ô-maru boshi, itame hada, nakago: ubu, one mekugi-ana, mumei, copper habaki. In the style of Kawachi no kami Kunesuke. Very good state of polish.
Koshirae: Complete handachi-koshirae with reddish patinated copper and gilt rim, on ishime-ground in shakudô mitsu-suwama-mon of the Aoki and Yamada families, copper tsuba with flowering branch in silver and shakudô, gilt rim; menuki: birds over waves in silver, gold and shibuichi; blue binding over same, saya: aogai lacquer with five mitsu-suwama-mon in black lacquer. 19th century.
