An 18k granulated gold and labradorite brooch. Designed as a bombé form rhombus set with a labradorite cabochon of ca. 5,6 ct (ca. 15,5 x 9,3 x 6,1 mm). L 2.9 cm. Weight 7.6 g.
Cologne, Ursula Dewes, 1962 (Lindlar 1942).

The goldsmith Ursula Dewes apprenticed in the workshop of Boris & Bertel Pilar von Pilchau in Bergisch Gladbach, where she learnt how to create granulated gold. Among other patrons, she also carried out commissions for Elisabeth Treskow's studio.
