A rare époque Louis XIV boulle style corner cabinet.

Tortoiseshell inlaid with brass and tin. With later ormolu mountings. A rare époque Louis XIV boulle style corner cabinet. The marquetry of the top possibly associated. With some losses, the lock ammended. H 82.5, W 74, height of thigh 52.5 cm.
Probably Austria, 1st quarter 18th C.

A table with the same decor is found on the window side of the Maria-Theresia-Room in the Leopoldine Wing of Castle Hofburg in Vienna (formerly Maria Theresia's paradise bedroom, ammended for the Austrian state president). The corner cabinet probably belonged to a group of furniture of the same Austrian origin.
