A pair of important ormolu mounted Venetian cut glass carafes. Centrally decorated with the coat-of-arms of Doge Foscarini (1423-1457). The lid mountings formed as bird's heads, the eyes each set with three small, synthetic rubies. With visible traces of glue to the mountings, the mount of one carafe dulled. H each 44.7 cm.
