South German 18th century

An 18th century South German carved wooden putto.

Carved three-quarters in the round, the reverse slightly flattened. With partially overpainted older polychromy.. A figure of a flying putto, turned to the left and draped in a golden cloth, designed for a lowered viewpoint.
The right arm and right leg reattached. Losses to the back of the head due to insect damage. Height 66 cm.
