A bronze vase. Late 19th century

A bronze vase of ovoid shape with a trumpet-like neck, the body with two large reserves filled with two fighting mythological male figures (weapon missing) and a phoenix above kiri flowers and leaves, the whole body covered with a pattern of small archaistic spirals. Cast mark to the base Nakanoya sei Seiunsei. Late 19th century.
