A large Canton ivory casket. Early 19th century

A large Canton ivory casket of octagonal shape, the body supported by eight pointed feet, with a slightly domed lid and moveable handle, carved in low relief with figures in a garden landscape on a ground of fine stripes in openwork, the knob in shape of a finger citron. The panels glued and small damages. Early 19th century.
