A large ivory netsuke of Chôryô and Kôsekikô. Early 19th century

Carved from a triangular piece of ivory, Kôsekikô holding a scroll and the reigns rides over a bridge underneath a pine, while Chôryô kneels on a dragon beneath and offers the boot, which the Kôsekikô had purposefully dropped into the dangerous waters.
