A pair of Parisian gilt bronze and marble candelabra

An exceptionally fine pair of decorative four-flame candelabra formed as realistic sprigs of poppy and pinks issuing from white marble vases, applied to both sides with bearded male mascarons with fruiting grapevines woven into their hair, suspending floral festoons. One branch loose, minor older repairs. H 53 cm.
Louis XVI period, ca. 1780 - 85.
