A 13th century Limoges enamel plaque of Christ blessing

Engraved, enamelled copper with remains of gilding. Circular plaque enclosing a quatrefoil cartouche with foliate motifs filling the spandrels. The central depiction shows the blessing Christ enthroned and with a cruciform halo.
Wear with losses to the enamel. Mounted on a velvet covered wooden panel. Diameter 7.8 cm.
