A probably Italian 16th century carved ivory figure of the Virgin enthroned

The back of Virgin's head and shoulders worked separately and attached. The Virgin is shown seated sideways on a tall plinth decorated with curtains, supporting the crowned Christ Child, who holds a cross, upon Her lap.
Minimal wear and slight yellowing. Height 15 cm.
