A round iron lidded box. Around 1900

A round russet-iron lidded box with seven rats in very good detail nibbling at bean pods, the beans of gold, the eye pupils of glass. Signed: Takachika with kaô in flat gold inlay. Around 1900.
Height 5 cm; diameter 10.7 cm

Sano Tadachika of Tokyo was active around 1900 to 1920. (Haynes 09259.0)
