Comprising 197 pieces: 24 dinner knives, forks and spoons; 12 starter knives, forks and spoons; 12 coffee and mocca spoons; 12 fish knives and forks; 12 fruit knives; 6 salts with small spoons and 17 serving pieces. The terminals monogrammed "HZ". In a fitted case with four labelled drawers. L of dinner knives 28 cm, weight without knives 13,040 g.

Literature

Fabergé was named court silversmith to the Tsars in 1885, and court jeweller to the Scandinavian royal famly as of 1897. The company founded branches in Moscow, Odessa, Kiev and London as of 1887. As with the majority of the items produced in Moscow, this cutlery service bears the Imperial patent mark with the double-headed eagle, cf.: v.
