A North Italian carved marble devotional image of Christ, second half 15th century.

The reverse flattened, minor remains of polychromy.. A high-relief carved tondo depicting a half-figure image of Christ emerging from a sarcophagus flanked by two adoring angels. He is dressed in a perizonium and wears the crown of thorns, His eyes are closed and He holds His arms folded before His chest.
Wear with losses. Diameter 76 cm, depth 12 cm..
