A pair of carved wooden angels, probably West German, second half 15th century

Carved in the round, the reverse only summarily. With older polychromy.. Two figures of opposing angels in flight dressed in girded golden robes and holding their hands upraised where they perhaps originally supported a carved cloth bearing a depiction such as the coronation of the Virgin.
Wear with minor losses to the polychromy, the wings lacking, the hands possibly later replacements. Height of each 38 cm..
