A 17th century Spanish or Portuguese ivory figure of the Maria Immaculata.

Carved in the round. Minor remains of former polychromy and gilding. A standing figure of the Virgin on a crescent moon, Her hands folded in prayer. Her gilt-hemmed cloak is draped about Her body in deep and elegant folds.
A minor loss to the reverse of the crescent. Yellowed. Height 15.5 cm.
