A South German carved wooden figure of Saint Roch, first half 18th century

Carved three-quarters in the round, the reverse flattened and deeply hollowed out. With older polychromy.. A figure of the saint depicted standing on an integral base, dressed in pilgrim's attire. His attributes, the plague wound on his bare thigh and the bread in his hand are plainly visible, and he is also shown accompanied by the angel who tended him in his time of need.
One of the angel's wings loosely attached. Minimal wear. Height 126 cm.
