Upper right "Th. Opera and ballet - Leningrad / Fountain by Bakshi Serai / 14 wives with fans". The costumes described lower left, approved below. Verso "2nd act. / Dance with feather fans. 14 costumes" and a list of 14 female dancers. Gouache and gold-bronze paint over pencil on drawing paper. 29.6 x 20.8 cm. Inscribed in Cyrillic "V. Khodasevich" in pencil lower right (overworked in ink), possibly monogrammed and dated "21/VI 34". - Cut and reglued to the centre, the lower left corner abraded, studio traces, slight foxing.
