Untitled (Portrait of Fydor Bogorodsky as a Fencer)

The reverse with a further pencil sketch inscribed: "I hereby confirm that this portrait of my father, the artist Bogorodsky, was painted by the artist E. Lvov 1918 and that it is an original. 13th June 1996 in Moscow. (Signature)". Gouache over charcoal and pencil on thick, yellowed card. With a small pencil sketch to the reverse. 54 x 37.5 cm. Inscribed in Cyrillic "E. Lvov 1918" in pencil lower right. - The two lower corners replaced, the upper left corner missing, studio traces. The reverse abraded over former adhesive mounting.
