A carved wood figure of a Prophet, probably Central Rhine Region, 2nd half 15th century

Carved in the round, the reverse summarily worked. Extensive remains of older polychromy. A standing figure of a bearded prophet dressed in a long robe and cloak, holding a long banderole that falls to the floor from shoulder height.
The left hand lacking. Insect damage to the plinth. Wear with losses. Height 38 cm.
