A dry lacquer gigaku mask with sculptured features, a large protruding nose and visible upper row of teeth with fangs. Minor flaking of pigments, fabric to the inside and a paper label reading Koku ... (in red ) and ... gigakumen Gyômyô ? saku and sealed Gyômyô?. Meiji period.
