An iron water kettle (tetsubin) of nearly hexagonal shape with moveable handle, displaying in low relief a landscape to one side, and bird, tree and plum blossoms to the other. Cast seal mark reading Nishi ... seishi, the bronze lid signed Seijudô zô. Around 1900.
