A kabuto. Eight-plate kôshôzan hosho bachi, russet iron, with four-plate iron shikoro lacquered black, bronze tehen no kanamono, iron fukugaeshi lacquered brown with bronze mon of a sixteen-petalled flower, gilt bronze maedate in shape of a Chinese fan. 19th century.
