An onyx Moretto brooch

The head carved from mattified onyx. The turban and bust set with 96 brilliant-cut diamonds (in total ca. 3.96 ct), rubies, and an onyx cabochon (ca. 16.2 x 13.4 mm). Suspending two oval cultured pearls (ca. 11.4 x 10 mm). The brooch mountings with double needle and hinged hanging loop to convert the piece to a brooch. Stamped: Fineness 750, maker's mark "MK". H 8.5 cm. Weight 52.3 g.
