Design attributed to Friedrich Gottlob Hoffmann, ca. 1790, produced soon after.

Seating furniture, whether in the form of chairs, sofas, or tabourets, was the most common type of furniture produced in Hoffmann's workshop. Whereby it is not known whether Hoffmann's furniture catalogue was simply a collection of popular pieces, or all his designs.
