A partly gilt bronze Miyao-style bronze figure of a samurai standing on a carved wooden base, in both hands a long naginata (tip broken), the jinbaori decorated with a dragon, on his chest a butterfly, the mon of the Taira family. Sword and top knot missing. Late 19th century.
