A Victorian gold and garnet brooch

Oval bombé form brooch with silver pin, centrally set with a hexagonally lobed garnet and a seed-pearl star framed in the archaeological revival taste. With a glazed capsule containing a photograph to the reverse, engraved A. Kent. Can also be worn as a pendant. Minute dot-shaped dents to the underside. H 4.3 cm. W 4 cm. Weight 21.6 g.
