A German 14k gold and rock crystal swivel ring

Courtship ring with a florally chased and engraved band. The oval bezel mounted with a twisting rock crystal intaglio (ca. 20 x 23 mm), carved on both sides. One side with a crowned foliate cartouche monogrammed "JK", the other with a friendship motif and the motto RIEN NE PEUT ROMPRE CE LIEN (nobody can break this bond). Bezel 2.9 x 2.7 cm. Weight 14.1 g.
