A yellowish bronze incense burner. Ming dynasty, 16th/17th century

A yellowish bronze incense burner of archaistic gui form with two elephant head handles, the globular body with flowers, scrolls and squirrels in silver wire inlay. At the base a cast apocryphal Xuande six-character mark. Lid and stand of wood. Inside a paper label with a description in German, at the base the collector's number 15 in white ink.
