A stone carved as a cut of shark meat. Agate

Realistically carved in the form of a cut of shark meat with a rough, pimply, grey skin above three distinctly textured layers, two beige-white in colour and polished smooth, with a pitted, segmented, rust-brown section in-between. The stone sits on a fitted stand of gilt bronze cast as frothing, swirling waves above a band of lotus leaves.
