An ivory netsuke of two hares. 19th century

An adult hare and a young are sitting across each other in an almost human fashion, placing their forepaws on the other’s legs and ‘shoulders’ respectively. The ivory well polished, the eyes of the hares of coral.
Height 5.1 cm
