A Königsberg silver gilt coin-set beaker

Cylindrical corpus with slightly domed hinged lid and auriform handles with beaded decor on a moulded basal ring. Set throughout with 24 Brunswick-Lüneburg coins in three stepped rows, dated between 1690 and 1693. The base and lid each inset with a "reichstaler" with a portrait of Duke Johann Georg "von Sachsen, Jülich, Kleve und Berg", dated 1620 and 1624. H 19.5 cm, weight 1,468 g.
