A small ivory netsuke of a hatching chick. Second half 19th century

Seated on top of an egg, through the openings in the shell a leg is visible on the inside, while small shell pieces are strewn over the outside of the egg. Signed Kômin with kaô within a green-stained seal. The eye pupils of black horn.
