A round bronze mirror of LTV- type. Bronze. Han dynasty

The central knob surrounded by petals within a square with nipples alternating with characters representing the zodiac animals, surrounded by birds, mythological animals, nipples and LTV motifs and a band with an inscription referring to the four cardinal points, at the rim sawtooth patterns. Greyish green patina, the reverse with a blackish shiny patina.
Diameter 18 cm

This is one of the most popular mirror types of the late Western Han dynasty (206 BC-8 AD).
