A shinguntô

Length of the blade 69.2 cm, shinogi-zukuri, suguha hamon, mokume hada, horimono on both sides, ca. 25 cm long, very good state of polish. Nakago: ubu, two mekugi-ana, mumei. 19th century. Gilt copper habaki.
Koshirae: kyû-guntô officer’s sabre, European style handle of brass with wire binding, on tortoise shell-like material. Highly polished steel scabbard. 20th century. Bag of printed cotton.
