A painted and gilt lacquered wood offering table (chien-nab) with a lid. Malaysia/Singapore. Around 1900

Of longish hexagonal shape on six cabriole feet resting on lions and with a central part carved in gilt openwork with figures, the large lid painted in various shades of gold with dignitaries and a landscape on a black ground.
Height 22.7 cm; width 32 cm
