A wakizashi

Length of the blade 31.4 cm, hira zukuri, one and two bohi, suguha-gunome hamon, mokume-itame hada, good state of polish. Nakago: ubu, one mekugi-ana, mei: Kanenori. Probably 18th century. Copper habaki.
Koshirae: iron mokkô-shaped tsuba with rivulet, inlaid rocks and grasses with gold and silver, iron fuchi-kashira and kaeshi-zuno with flat brass inlays in Kaga-Yoshiro style, silver menuki in shape of Benkei with carp and the bell of Miidera, sentoku kozuka with copper and silver kingfisher and reeds with an iron blade. Leather binding over same. Saya: black ishime lacquer. 19th century.
