A flying Tennin. Ivory with inlays. Around 1900

Signed on a large, square reserve: Sansei (artist not registered)
Depicted in a long, folded robe with a drum at her chest and the stick raised in her left hand. Her upper body is surrounded by fluttering scarves. The darkly patinated hair held up with a comb, decorated with a stylised butterfly. The very small himotôshi lined with green-coloured rings, an old, minor damage partly concealed by a green-shimmering abalone disc.
