Shoki and a shishi. Ivory. Second half 19th century

With a threatening expression and a sword in his left hand, seated on a rock surrounded by frothing waves, accompanied by a shishi family with young. Probably walrus tooth, very finely carved, partly in openwork and engraved, details coloured dark.
