A three-part inro. Possibly second half 19th century

Of wood, with separate cord runners. The wide sides with bold, partly full-round relief of a pair of beaked sparrows of dark wood, horn and ivory with inlaid mother-of-pearl eyes and brown lacquer pupils. The upper side decorated with a huge daikon with long, serrated leaves, on which a rat of maritime ivory is seated. This subject, enriched by a second rat, is repeated on the spherical ojime, also of maritime ivory, finely carved, engraved, partly darkly accentuated.
